A little piece of Heaven on earth.....

.....and her name is Little Pumpkin.

It's a GIRL!

Born on Wednesday, November 19th--the Feast Day of St. Agnes--was my sweet Little Pumpkin. She came at 5:57 PM, just in time for supper. Weighed in at 7 pounds, and measuring 20 1/2 inches tall, with a full complement of dark hair.

I'll post her birth story in the next few days...but at the moment I'm very busy falling madly in love with my sweet baby girl.

Everyone is thoroughly enchanted with her, of course......especially the Monkey, who insists on smooching her at every possible turn.

More to come soon!

Congratulations, Laura! I'm so happy for you and your family. Looking forward to reading the birth story! I saw on Facebook that you were "loving a little girl," but I thought maybe a friend came to visit; I didn't know she was your own! Heading to Mass and offering prayers for you all.

Not that you're going to have free time anytime soon, but check out my fabulous post when you get the chance. You've been tagged with an award!

I'm so happy for you and your new little girl. Your nickname for her reminds me of the birth of my sixth and last child. She was also a sweet little girl (I have four boys and two girls). She was exactly 10 years younger than her older sister. She was born in the days when you didn't know which gender you were going to have, and yet my older daughter and I both had been strongly impressed that she was a girl long before she was born.

In the hospital, I called her Pumpkin. The nurse overheard me and asked in a horrified voice if that was what we were going to name her. I assured her that she was to be given a beautiful name, and that Pumpkin was only a term of endearment.

Good luck to you and your little "Pumpkin."

Oh Laura! Congratulations!! I can't wait to read the whole birth story, and maybe see another picture (or 20)? She is so beautiful! Give her head a snuffle from me!
